Help and FAQ

Quick answers about asking questions, question credits, lessons and your account.

Getting started

What is ClarifyBro?

ClarifyBro is an AI tutor for the doubts that are left after class or after watching a lesson video. You ask a question and it builds a short animated, narrated lesson around exactly what you asked.

How do I ask a question?

Type it, tap the microphone and say it, or use the camera button to take a photo of a handwritten or printed question. Then tap Generate Answer.

Which languages can I use?

English, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu. Pick one from the language menu at the top of the screen. The question, the answer and the narration all follow it.

Which classes and boards does it cover?

Class 1 to college, for CBSE, ICSE, State boards, IB and Cambridge. Set yours once in the menu under My class & board, and explanations are matched to your level.

Question credits

How do credits work?

One credit is one question, including a request to explain something differently. Every new account starts with 20 free credits. Checking an answer with Double-check this answer, and the Test myself quick check, are free.

How do I add more credits?

Open the menu and tap Add credits. Packs start at ₹50, and the bigger packs come with bonus credits. Credits are bought in the Android app through Google Play, and they never expire.

I asked a question but got no answer. Did I lose a credit?

No. If an answer can't be made because of an error, or it takes too long, the credit is returned to your balance automatically.

I paid for credits but they have not appeared.

Open Add credits once more. The app finishes any purchase that was paid for but not yet added, so the credits usually appear within a minute. If they are still missing after a few minutes, use Report a problem and tell us the time and the amount you paid.

Can I get a refund?

Purchases are handled by Google Play, so refund requests go to Google Play. If Google refunds a purchase, the credits from it are removed from your balance. The Terms of Service have the details.

Using lessons

Can I ask a doubt while a lesson is playing?

Yes. Tap the bar under the video that says Tap to interrupt & ask anytime, and say your doubt, or type it in the Chat box. The lesson pauses while you are answered, then carries on from where it stopped.

What does Still confused? Explain differently do?

It explains the same thing again in a new way, with a fresh example or analogy, instead of repeating the same words. It uses one credit.

Why does the lesson sometimes stop and ask me a question?

After the first scene, the lesson asks what you think will happen, so you think before the answer is revealed. Type or speak your guess, or tap Skip. The lesson waits for you for as long as you need.

What are Test myself and Double-check this answer?

Test myself gives you a short quick-check at the end of a lesson. Double-check this answer gives any answer a second look. Both only run when you tap them, and both are free.

Can I save or download a lesson?

Yes. Save lessons into folders from the menu under Saved videos, and use the download button on the video to keep a copy to watch again.

Can I practise with a question paper?

Yes. Upload a PDF paper with the document button next to the camera, then tap any question for a step-by-step solution. Mark each one right, partly right or missed, and see which topics need work under My progress in the menu.

Can I change the voice?

Yes. Use the voice list under the question box to choose one of two male and two female voices. Your choice is remembered.

Accuracy, privacy and help

How do I know which version I have, and how does it update?
